As an avid adventure travel blogger from Melbourne, I was drawn to the quaint charm of Auberge Les Tonnelles for a family getaway in the French Alps. Our spacious room felt like a cozy retreat, ensuring a peaceful night's rest even with a little one under two years old. Madame's thoughtful gesture of arranging a pizza delivery when the restaurant was closed showed a touch of kindness. The continental breakfast spread was a hit with our family, complete with homemade treats and fresh fruits.While the 2-star rating may not promise luxury, the simplicity of the room was more than made up for by the comfortable bed and functional shower. Despite being slightly hidden away, the Auberge's serene atmosphere and garden were a pleasant surprise, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring. An excellent option for families seeking a relaxed and welcoming experience in the French Alps.
